Welcome to The Racket Life
Hey, I’m Zeid, and from the moment I was able to walk, all I ever wanted to do was play sports. Growing up in a small country town in Western Australia, there wasn’t much else to do other than sports or surfing. From elementary school through to high school, and then in college, I played soccer, boxing, cricket, basketball, tennis, squash, and table tennis. You name it, and I’ve probably at one point in my life done it.
Even though I have a love for pretty much all sports, it wasn’t until I started playing tennis at the age of 12 that I truly realized where I found my true passion There was always something to work on, whether it was perfecting my backhand or mastering the art of slicing the ball. On the courts, I would play tennis, then when I would get home, I’d get my family to play table tennis with me until the wee hours of the morning.
Fast-forward to 2017, I discover Pickleball and its love at first sight. At first, the most frustrating part of Pickleball was finding other players I could play with. I’d also spend hours every day trying to find out more about the best gear to buy, debating with others on forums about the rules, and just generally trying to soak up as much information as possible. That’s when I decided I had to start a site where I could dump all my knowledge about Pickleball, Tennis, Squash, and Table Tennis all into one site. I now have a hobby to enjoy on-court and online at the same time. What more could a guy ask for?
Fast forward to 2022, my tribe of racket obsessed friends has grown to include my brother Faris and my brother-in-law Ghazi. Our site has grown so much in the past year that we decided to start taking things seriously and dedicate ourselves to an actual Mission!
